Eleventh grade started off with the arrival of our class rings and the girl's basketball team placing first In the league. Henry and Mark treated us with the writing of a novel Involving the entire class. The most memorable event of this year was our Prom: Tara's Theme . It not only brought us a feeling of pride and satisfaction, but also a feeling of unity and togetherness. We entered our senior year with mixed feelings. Some were anxious to get it over with and some were sad to think that our school years would soon be ending; yet we were all determined to make it the best year ever. We've been able to do the same things that previous seniors have done, but to us every- thing has seemed so much more Important. Yes, It's been a year we'll all remember. We've had our share of problems but, more Important, we've had our share of fun. Graduation will bring an end to our class history. As the time draws nearer to say qoodbye, we realize that the past twelve years have been good years and that time will never change them, for we will always remember . . . M fr 4 £ ©

SENIOR CLASS HISTORY As we look back and reflect on the years we've shared together--We will cherish our friends. Our twelve years are coming to a close. These times will be only a fond memory and will bring to us a smile, a tear, a hope for the future, and a final goodbye, for we will never pass this way again. We began our school life In September, 1965 . . . First grade was a trying time for our class. We had to make the big adjust- ment from the security we had known, to a world of new faces and new experiences. Little did we know that we were entering some of the happiest years of our lives. Raymle Snyder and Kenny Roy helped to ease the situation with their occasional contests In the bathroom which almost got them expelled. In second grade we had the pleasure of knowing Alan Dawson. Alan enlightened the class with his explanation of gravity by drawing Gravity and Gravity's house. We also were given the chance to show our singing abilities when Mrs. Ball made us Individually sing a song In front of the entire class. We spent third grade on the high school side. It had It's advantages and It's disadvantages. We each received our own locker, but we had to fight our way through the high school giants to get to them. Fourth grade was a little less hectic, but It was still full of excitement. Who could forget our trip to the Planetarium at Clarion State College, or all the trouble Miss Mechllng had with her contact lenses. Our mealworms and guppies also gave us much pleasure that year. Fifth grade brought us new and exciting (?) experiences. Mrs. Hawkins Introduced choral readings to us and Mr. Hilton taught us how to square dance. The most exciting event of this year was when Mrs. Landess accidentally took a sleeping pill and fell asleep In class. Sixth grade was a good year for our egos. We were the Big Shots of the elementary side and everyone looked up to us. The class project for that year was making a map of South America out of salt ceramics. The class trip to Nlagra Falls broutht us to an end of our elementary years. Our arrival on the high school side gave us a feeling of being unnoticed and unaccepted. This feeling was soon overcome by Mr. Kemble's welcome to us. When our 5,000 word essays on one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World were not completed the next day, a 10,000 word essay on the same topic was given. It proved to be an even more delightful year with Mr. KeblItch's music lessons. We all knew our TA-TITI-TERI TERI'S by the end of the year. In eighth grade we were blessed with Dan H.'s Introduction of a new hair style: the original Don Eagle. This year also proved to be exciting when the Jr. High basketball team won only one game all season. With the arrival of Glenn Temple, the class soon learned how to provoke substitute teachers. Glenn's Inability to find his contact lens brought harsh words from the sub- stitute. Ninth grade brought us the exciting and educational experience of visiting the Vo-Tech school In 011 City. During this year Jerry and Sue Introduced their tremendous acting abilities In our English class as they portrayed Romeo and Juliet. Our Initiation at Loleta on the last day of school ended our Jr. High years and made way for our Sr. High years. Tenth grade holds several memories for our class. Biology class provided us with the enjoyment or disgust of dlsectlng and also threats from The Shadow , our friendly exchange student. American Cultures was also a treat. Some of us became expert-pilots In the flying of paper airplanes and erasers.
