East Forest High School Martenville, Pa Stt! c7 rsmemder Foreward............................k Seniors ........................... 6 Memoriam...........................18 Underclassmen .....................28 Faculty and Administration.........k2 Sports.............................52 Activities.........................72 Elementary 90 foreword We, the class of 197U, proudly present The Marien. We have chosen I Remember. . . as our theme, for, throughout the pages of this booh we are reminded of our rewards and setbacks, and of our goals, achieved or otherwise. Thus, to keep our high school days forever near us and the memories of them alive in our hearts, we of- fer you The Marien. Our final wish to you is that some- day you too may fondly say, I remember. . . 4 TRIBUTE Shelley Over the years, you have given so much to us. What you gave is not measurable—for that which you gave was a gift of yourself. For this reason, as insufficient as it may seem, we present this tribute to you. Under the direction of Mr. Paul Kemble, the preparation started early in November. Committees were appointed for various jobs, and students aggressively worked on such areas as invitations, decorations, refreshments, and after prom activities. As time progressed toward the final event. East Forest's gym was transformed into King Arthur's magical court. Decor- ations included a medieval moat, draw bridge, and the famous sword in the stone. The 18th finally arrived, but not without an upset to the class' morale first. Unfortun- ately, the weather the day before was not good, and the gym roof leaked onto the decorations. All was saved, however. Many students and their dates turned out for the event. Music was supplied by Horizon . Roxanne Silvis and Mike Gatesman were crowned Queen and King early in the evening. The MACA Building was the setting for the after prom party. Students were entertained by mus- ic from Ash , and a full length movie was shown. 74 Rov 1: Hary Ann Mays, Dennis Hepler, Doug Hepler, Jerry ROurke, Dennis Rhulman, Barb Cook.
