TO THE CLASS OF 1972 My sincere congratulations to each member of the graduating class. You have upon graduation just lifted-off on another important phase of your lifes' journey. Your initial thrust has been properly calculated and planned through both your elementary and secondary years and now as you begin to take over the controls and make plans that will determine how you will reach your future destinations I feel sure that you will call upon and use wisely the stored fuels of previous learnings that will enable you to alter your course as you proceed. Gods' speed and happy landing as you take greater control of your personal life; the life of your community and the life of the society of man. Milfred W. Smith Superintendent of Schools Forest Area School District You have just completed your high school courses and have achieved the goal of graduation. You are now going to embark on another phase of your life’s activities. You'll face many of your old problems but you will also meet new ones. You will have more responsibilities and will be compelled to make many new and important decisions. If you have not already done so may you soon adopt goals that will help to direct you. May your ambition to reach your goals be a dominating force through- out your life. May your courage always depend on it and your perserverance unlimited in the face of difficulties. May your source of inspiration and guidance come from a God of love in whom you believe and trust. May you experience a real happiness in feeling of true worth that emanates from habitually rendering services to others, and finally, may you achieve the everlasting peace that comes from a clear conscience and the realization that you have lived a good life.
