rnmm DEDICATION As we, the class of 1972, think over our years at East Forest, Mr. John Smrek stands out vividly in our memories. Mr. Smrek, you were our principal for our first eleven years of school. You have arranged our education as well as many activities. You have helped not only with our school problems but also with our personal problems. We thank you for listening to our problems and offering solutions, which to our amazement, were usually the right ones. We feel this dedication represents just a small portion of our feelings. It is all we have to offer though, and we gladly offer it to you. In our future years we will do our utmost to make our lives successes so that you will be proud to look at us and claim a part in our education. TO THE CLASS OF 1972 My sincere congratulations to each member of the graduating class. You have upon graduation just lifted-off on another important phase of your lifes' journey. Your initial thrust has been properly calculated and planned through both your elementary and secondary years and now as you begin to take over the controls and make plans that will determine how you will reach your future destinations I feel sure that you will call upon and use wisely the stored fuels of previous learnings that will enable you to alter your course as you proceed. Gods' speed and happy landing as you take greater control of your personal life; the life of your community and the life of the society of man. Milfred W. Smith Superintendent of Schools Forest Area School District You have just completed your high school courses and have achieved the goal of graduation. You are now going to embark on another phase of your life’s activities. You'll face many of your old problems but you will also meet new ones. You will have more responsibilities and will be compelled to make many new and important decisions. If you have not already done so may you soon adopt goals that will help to direct you. May your ambition to reach your goals be a dominating force through- out your life. May your courage always depend on it and your perserverance unlimited in the face of difficulties. May your source of inspiration and guidance come from a God of love in whom you believe and trust. May you experience a real happiness in feeling of true worth that emanates from habitually rendering services to others, and finally, may you achieve the everlasting peace that comes from a clear conscience and the realization that you have lived a good life. CAFETERIA STAFF Mary Jane Tempest, Laura Belle Gesin, Elmira Whitton To Our Friend: Here we are at the end of our Senior year. It's hard to realize that our years of education at East Forest are nearly finished; that it is time for us to say our thank-you's and leave. We all especially want to thank you. Not just because you've been our home room teacher for the past three years, but because of the many things you have done for us. In class you taught us grammar, introduced us to literature, and showed us how to express ourselves in compositions and speeches. Out of class you advised us on many things-the prom, the dances, our projects and our problems. Your best characteristic has always been your ability to listen. We always knew that no matter how we felt about something you were willing to listen and give us your frank opinion. You have treated us as real people with thoughts and feelings-not as your infer- iors. You have made us feel we were important and that our ideas were worth listening to. You have laughed with, and talked with us, fought with us and fought against us. In general, you have been our friend. And so with sincere gratitude we thank you Mr Kemble. Sincerely, The Class of 1972 Colour bty World Your world is a canvas. Every happening adds color and depth. Each day must be colored in by you. Nothing is too insignificant. The picture is your life, what you will be remembered for. Because all too soon the color fades, and then no longer exists. But as for today, Colour My World.... Yes, we've just begun. Sharing horizons that are new to us. Watching the ships along the way. Talking it over just the two of us. Working together day by day...Together... And when the evening comes. We smile, so much of life ahead. We'll find a place where there is room to live Before the rising sun we fly. So many roads to choose. We start out walking and learn to run And yes we've only just begun, to live.
