She was born in Morenci and grew up in southern Arizona. She graduated from Clifton High School where she was very involved in drama and choir. Later she attended NAU and majored in Business Education. After graduating from college, She began teaching at East Flag. She has taught here for five years and enjoys her Typing classes very much. She has also taught journalism and Teen Management in the past. She enjoys getting involved with the students by sponsoring dances and attending many school functions. Her main interest outside of school is her family, especially all the activities her four boys are involved in. She also sings with the Flagstaff Chapter of Sweet Adelines, enjoys sewing, and plays softball in the summer. She attended Tuba City Public Elementary School until sixth grade when she trans- ferred to Thomas Elementary School in Flagstaff. She came to East Flagstaff Junior High School in 1975 as a seventh grader. Lyndella Marie Romero was born in Flagstaff, Arizona, on April 27, 1963. She attended Mt. Elden Elementary School in her primary grades and then Longview Elementary School in Phoenix. She returned to Flagstaff and East Flagstaff junior High School in her seventh grade year. Both girls were ninth grade students at East Flagstaff junior High School when they lost their lives in a tragic automobile accident in September. The spirit dance was held as a tribute to our victorious football team. An honorary football trophy was displayed to show our pride in our football team. The most spectactular sporting event of the school year was the final bas- ketball game against West Flag. The East Flag basketball team won after two overtirnes. The final score was T-Birds 61 and Hawks 59. The en- thusiastic crowds, cheerleaders, and pom-pons encouraged the T-Birds on to victory.
