Two of the Bees' ten game schedule were cancelled because of the Asian flu epidemic. Scoring power and a strong defense were evident as the Bees started out by beating Monongah 25-O and Washington Irving 13-7. At mid-season the Bees had compiled a 4-1 record. After that the Palatiners had a three week vacation as a result of the flu. Thus two games were definitely cancelled and one postponed. Once again Fairmont East went down in defeat to their cross-town rival, Fairmont West, by the score of 26-7. That loss gave the Polar Bears their eighth consecutive victory in the series. Carl Deavers was selected as first team center on the Big Ten Team and third team center on the all-state team. Carl also received a scholarship. to West Virginia University. Receiving honorable mention on the all-state and Big Ten team were the Palatiners' two halfbacks Jim Beadling and Bill Branson and end Boy Peters.
