The freshmen tread eagerly and ambitiously, hoping and trying hard to make their four years at East Fairmont the best four years of their lives. They tread from class to class getting accustomed to the rooms and teachers, and trying hard for a straight A average. The sophomores, 'now a little more used to their daily routine, are beginning to settle down and receive, more of their purposed education. Now, knowing that the straight A average is possible, they try their best to make the honor roll. - The juniors are having it a little rougher, bored with the same routine and beginning to think of the years beyond graduation. Finally the seniors, who now tread for the last time the path wom by their feet, are gazing into the past and dream- ing about the future. They think back into their grade school days and their four years of fun and work at East High. They look out into the future and that long awaited day of graduation. Yes, we say again that many different feet have trod the halls and campus at East Fairmont, and they will con- tinue wearing the beaten path for many years to come.

The girls' ehorus sang songs of the season ancl the spec-eh class presented their parts on the yuletifle' spirit. The Maifl in Marion eontest was also helrl in the fall. with ,lon Ra Pyles. clrum majorctte. as vancli- rlate from East Fairmont High School. Although East clitl not reeeive high honors. it is still a privilege to participate in the contest. At the majorette sock hop they had a special clisc-jockey. J. J. lVIcLinflen. senior. who was in charge of spinning the records. A jitterhug vontest was helcl.
