Payne, Carl CHEERLEADERS Cheerleaders, you lcnow, are more than just an exhibition to be stared at as they go through their maneuvers, they are the never tiring worlcers who are the nucleous of the team's supporters. lt gives you a got to lceep going or Uwe can't lose feeling to lmow that someone is pulling for you, feeling the hardships of your taslc and losing when you do. Ralph Leaf and Barbara Vvatlcins, two senior cheerleaders, have given faithful service and a sincere gilt of gratitude goes to them from their student body, faculty, and athletic teams. Barbara has been cheerleader for three years and Ralph for two. Janet Pople and Ray Miller are sophomores. Janet has been cheerleader for two years, while this is Ray's first year. Both of them have given their all in leading the support of the 'Blue and Gold. Pat Greene, a junior, moved here from Bridgeport this fall. This is her third year as cheerleader. Martha Doyle, a freshman, is a promising young prospect. She moved here alter leading cheers at Barnes Junior High for three years. U.S.N.
