girl reserves the girl reserves is an organization formed primarily to get girls to take an interest in, and to appreciate the higher things in life. this year the organization was so large that it was deemed advisable to divide it into two sections with miss addamae murphy as adviser for the junior division and miss florence hall as adviser of the senior division. this year betty morgan and gerry horner have served as presidents of the senior group and of the junior group, respectively. one of the interesting activities of the year was the- dad and daughter dinner. the meetings are held the first and third friday of every six weeks. the girl reserves organization does many helpful things that are not made public and tries to be useful in every phase of the school work. the officers of the senior group are: president betty morgan vcie-president june doolittle secretary helen miller treasurer lois heflin the officers of the junior group are: president gerry horner vice-president mary k. gaskins secretary louise cain treasurer betty miller g. a. a. the girls athletic association, or g. a. a. as it is popularly called, is an organization for girls interested in various sports. it strives to teach the girls better sportsmanship and also gives them an opportunity to earn their Ieter. the g. a. a. is one of the largest organizations in school at the present time. the sponsor is miss mary wilson and the president is carolyn Wolfe. the most outstanding activity this year was the sports carnival, under the sponsorship of mr. sprouse and miss wilson. the boys gym classes and the g. a. a. helped with it. another purpose of the organization is to give the girls a chance to earn a letter e by participating in athletics, programs, etc. president , . carolyn wolfe vice-president helen nichols secretary yvonne little treasurer , . betty miller tyoe
