thirty-eight 'O sophomore class at the beginning of the school year of 1936-1937, the largest freshman class ever enrolled at east fairmont entered this school. because of our size and our activity, we were an outstanding class. we elected neale burner as president and at the end of the year we voted him the outstanding member of our class. at the beginning of the school year of 1937-1938, we freshies returned as sophomores. class officers were elected and are as follows: president, neale burnerg vice president, marcellus fitzwaterg secretary, harley pyles. We, the sophomores, have again made a good record, in that We have been very active in social and athletic affairs of this school. the sophomore girls and boys basketball teams Were both runners up in the class tourna- ment, and several boys were very active on the varsity teams. we, the sophomores of 1937-1938, feel that our two years at east fair- inont high school have been pleasantly and beneficially spent. 9
