4 ami Bmw illrazvr Hman Srhnnl Ewtmrt June 21 1950 MISS Etta A Slngleton B D 1 Tarentum Pa Dear Miss S1Hgl8t0H It IS very d1ff1cult for me to give you the off1c1al action of the School Board without flFSf saylng a few words that perhaps should have been said before 1 have had many years of association with you as a pupil of yours and as a member of the Board of Education and I must say that l am very proud of this association I have always felt that every ZCCIOH you have taken you have done so w1th the best 1nterest of our schools 1U mind 1 am sure that the people of our COHmUH1tY realize this and although they may not say lt now as time goes on I am certaln that the good you have done for our schools and the students who have filled them shall not be forgotten Miss Slngleton there Wlll be no medals no citations and as you have asked that there be testimonial banquet your reward shall be 1n the m1nds and hearts of the people whom you have served The East Deer Frazer UDIOH School Board at the regular meet1ng of June 5 1950 unanimously approved the f0110W1ng 8Ct10H a letter of resignation and a desire to ret1re from act1ve service and Whereas she has asked that her resignation take effect not later than Sept 1 1950 and Whereas she has taught forty years w1th twenty n1ne years in BXSCUUIVS capaclty Now therefore be it resolved as follows 1 That the East Deer Frazer Union School Board on behalf of themselves the school children the parents and the people of our connmnity do hereby attempt to show our GPPTCCIHCIOH by thanklng with all our hearts Miss Etta Singleton for efforts on behalf of our school children above and be yond the call of compensated duty 2 at the portals of our schools shall at all t1mes be opened to her 3 at she has earned a long and enjoyable YCUIFEMCHC 4 at the East Deer Frazer Union School Board shall rededicate itself to carry out her w1shes 1H her letter of res1gnat1on that higher standards and greater successes be attained 1n the educatlon of our children 5 That the East Deer Frazer Union School Board with the deepest of regrets bows to the 1H ev1tab1l1ty of time and substance and accepts her resignation Yours w1th the greatest of respec LOUIS art1 Secretary East er Frazer UHIOH School Board ..4f ' MY Y' s . . 4 . , . .
