Consistently, East Coast has grown in enrollment and fall of '82 is no exception, with this semester's registration looking better than ever. There were 216 students on the Charlotte campus and 25 students in the Kenly extention. This represented a 10 per cent increase over the enrollment for the spring of 1982. because of the unexpected lack of space. This was taken care of by the renovation of Paulk Hall. The ladies faired better, but not that much better. The upperclass ladies were not accustomed to every dorm room being filled. This increased enrollment also created a need for additional classrooms. The larger freshmen classes had to be moved to the chapel because this was the only space large enough to hold 60-80 students at one time. The music building added a new classroom in the basement and an additional room was renovated in the Williams Building to house the new Physical Science lab. J
