He's a bachelor and drrves the sleekest, most expensrve automobrle around town. Another we see rs L. J. Bertrand. When he's not trackrng down cattle threves he's tryrng to frnd hrmself a yyrfc Tonrght he seems to have an eye for Lourse Tumey She has become a mrllronherress She s dressed rn a hand crocheted evenrng goyyn of pure gold lace whrch rs from her cxclusrve New York dress shop There s Zoe Seymour She rs now a woman lawyer A frne one at that but we remember now that she always drd love to arguel She rs talkrng wrth Bobby Hays who after berng named a four star general has retrred from the arr force and owns one of the largest homes around here wrth one room burlt especrally for hrs medals It s rntermrssron trme for the orchestra now and there rs a floor show berng staged It seems that Vergrl Hoffpaurr rs manager of the show whrch features among rts talented people Jerry Mount who rs a magrcran Juggler and whrstler, sound rug lrke three people as he performs Eugene Bertrand and Naoma Bryce are rn the show also They are a great dance team and they perform for us by puttrng on a beautrful ballet and adagro Thrs concludes the floor show so the orchestra starts up agam Who re that callrng to us? Why rt s Betty Brce She says rt s after mrdmght now and trme for Wrlfred and her to be get trng home to see about the chrldren. She rnvrtes us out to therr house for hamburgers, though, so we leave the New Year's party and motor out to Betty and Wrlfred's ranch style house out on therr rrce farm Just a short way from town. Here we frnd that the chrldren have the measles and a regrstered nurse has been hrred to stay wrth them. Isn't there somethrng famrlrar about the nurse's pretty smrle. Why yes, rt's Maxrne Chance. She worked rn a hosprtal for several years, but has decrded to do only home nursrng now. Goodness, we glance at our watches and rt rs almost dawn. What a good trme we've had tonrght vrsrtrng our '51 senrors. We remember that 1t's now January 1, 1961.
