RFVIEW OF FOOTBALL Sh.AbON The Buccaneers opened thexr football season on September 9th 1n a ganme agamst the Chma Lhppers 01 the1r home fxeld The score was Z7 O 1n favor of Chma The followmg game was played at Orangefueld on September 26th The score was 48 32 1n favor of Orangef1e1d On October 3rd the Fannett ffalcons came to our school and played a very hard game agalnst the Buccaneers The score was Z7 7 1n the Buc s favor Sab1ne Pass was the next on the Buc s schedule They d1dn t prove to be much competltlon and the reserves got to play The Buccaneers came home on the top end of the score wh1ch was 40 O The game played aga1nstHamsh1re on October 17th Pr0ved to be the most exc1t1ng of the year The game was very close, each other however the Bulldogs went home defeated 19 to 12 On October 24th the Buccaneers v1s1ted Devers and were defeated 43 to 25 The fmal game of the season was played October 31st w1th H1gh Island The game was exc1t1ng and the score was 33 to 18 1n the Buc s favor The Bucaneers chose full back Wa1denF11ck1nger as the1r Capta1n The rest of the l1ne up was made up of Verg1l Sand ers halfback Arthur Holt, quarterback Cloys Ray L1ndsey, rlght end Wllfred Le Blanc center Robert W1nz.er left end Morr1s Prejean, end W1ll1e Bertrand back Claude Credeur, end Robert Duhon center Oscar Gr1ff1n end and Bobby Hayes back. . . . - . .4 A . . .
