Buildin Floats Demands Time and Effort East Central students showed much originality and ingenuity in building floats for Homecoming. Except for classes, which like death and taxes are inevitable, students forgot time schedules and worked around the clock. Building frameworks, stuffing napkins into chick- en wire, working with sticky papier mache, all these were part of the week's work. Deadline for float completion was at eight oiclock on Saturday morning, and many East Centralites stayed up all night to work. Even the girls in the campus dormitories received permission to stay out as long as they wished if they were helping with a float. Somehow, someway, all the floats were finished on schedule and were ready to roll as the parade started. ? Sharon Castleberry concentrates on painting slogan Burn the Redmen for MENC float. BSUers Mar Toole Janice Moore, Sharon Hoipkemeier, 1 Y Y and Elva Lowry, shape up the miner for their float. W x fl - ke , ' Q +- ztfff ' , .
