Fentem Hall has provided an interesting and gracious home for hundreds of young men during the thirty years since it was built. Mr. A. L. Fentem, popularly known as Dad, who came to East Central in 1909, probably engendered more school spirit than almost any other faculty member past or present. His was the first band which used Tiger Rag as a means of cheering on the football squad. Fentem Hall proudly bears his name. Mrs. Beatrice Lewis, hostess of the hall, is deeply interested and concerned with the well-being of every young man housed there. College Hall, located on the northern side of the East Central campus, has served the college in a number of ways. At present, it houses approximately fifty young men stu- dents.
