Df T ' MINE? Linscheid Library, The center of East Cen- Tral's campus, carries The name of a most able American educator, Dr. Adolph Linscheid, who was President of The College from 1920 until 1948. The library's sectioned departments en- able a student To find quickly The materials he is searching for whether They be reference books, periodicals, or specific rolls of micro- film. The East Central Museum, housed in The library, within a few years has become one of The finest small museums in The mid-west. Among other Things it contains one of The most valuable collections of Indian arrow- heads and spear heads in existence, displays from various primitive cultures Throughout The world, and many items of pictorial inter- est to Americans about eighteenth and nine- Teenth century life in The United States and elsewhere. The latest additions To the library are found in The audio-visual department which provides among other Things a closed Tele- vision circuit for viewing East Central classes in action. This T.V. coverage enables one college professor To lecture To several sec- tions of students aT The same hour. summer of 1956. the College Viewing artifacts from regions of Africa are Carol Anderson, Tommy Rounds, and Steven Corbin. Kenneth Campbell cast these sculptures from the original obiects in Guatemala in the Getting acquainted with East Central's museum is freshman Carla Stallings. The display of pre-historic man includes skulls of: Ctop to bottomj The Cro-Magnon man, the Neanderthal man, the Pithecanthropus man, and the Australopithocus man.

It was dedicated to the memory of those East Central students who gave their lives in World War ll. The Union houses the Snack Bar, Pool Room, Student Lounge, Ballroom and Terrace Room as well as Lava 'all 'amy' aaYa Waldo Brown' manage' aflha other meeting places including the Tiger Den, Senate and Tower student union game room.
