PRESIDENT OF Charles F. Spencer i Message From the President' To the Friends of East Central: The year just ending may be remembered as the year of the greatest physical expansion of East Central-the completion of Briles Hall and the new dining hall and kitchen, the new administration-classroom building, the addition to the library, the modernization of the audi- torium and the enlargement of the stage, modernization of the Presidentls Home, construction of a large maintenance building, and numerous minor projects. We regret the inconvenience which has been experienced by all on the Campus, but we rejoice at the fine physical plant which will be ours to enjoy through the years-aircondi- tioned classrooms, improved library service, excellent auditorium and stage, and the many other things which the year has brought. Despite the construction, the educational program has moved forward, and some 2,000 young people have experienced the mental, spiritual, and physical development which results from college experience. We like to think that 1962-63 has been one of the best years in the history of East Central.
