The Valedictorian, Rochelle Cunn- ingham, addresses the administration, graduates, and guests. While the Alma Mater is playing, the seniors stand and sing. For some it may be the last time. 30 . . . Graduation Last day ends he last day of school was drawing near. For the underclassmen, this meant the last day of exams. For the seniors, this meant graduation rehearsal during the morning, a fajita luncheon, and finally on June 2, graduation. Rehearsal was relaxed. Many seniors were showing off while walking the stage. But, that night, they compos- ed themselves well. However, Bill Carsten, School Board president, ended up with a pocket full of pennies. Many of the seniors handed him a pen- ny as they shook his hand. Although Mr. Vee collected numerous bottles of bubbles, a few managed to get loose. All in all, graduation was great. It was a very memorable and special occasion for the graduates. It had been just one of their wishes that had come true, and, it was pro- bably the most important wish in creating their Glory Days. Kathy Resendez is the salutatorian for the class of '86. She awaits her turn to walk the stage.

Believe it or not, they were young once also. Mrs. Wilson prov- ed this with her embarass- ing moment on her first date with the man that would later become her husband. I really embarrassed myself on my first date with my husband Fton. We were at an Italian restaurant and had ordered a pizza with everything except an- chovies. When the pizza came, I decided to help myself to the first piece. However, the pizza had not been sliced completely through, when I pulled the piece toward me the whole pizza came with it. Before I knew what was happening the entire pizza was resting in my lap! My husband stared at me in disbelief and burst out laughing. That was hard to handle but worse than that was walk- ing out of the restaurant with red-orange pizza sauce splashed all over my bright green tent dress.
