Enjoying Camp Bullis is Steve Ar- doin. The ROTC goes to Camp Bullis to learn about military skills and what is is like so they'Il know what iatis all about. Male cheerleaders are a new twist here. This is the first year that we had male cheerleaders and it turned out to be successful. These guys surprised everyone. nf ff , I ff, qfgt. rK School outings magine, if you will, getting on a bus loaded with friends and fellow club members. Your destination is a far away place, your goal: recreation. The only thing stopping the group short of total chaos is the bus driver and the club sponsor. This is a normal club trip. But on a more serious note, there is more to club trips than endless hours of fun and games. No one knows what else there is because no one has ever gotten past the fun and games part of the trips, but l'm sure there is a serious note in there somewhere. lf not who needs a serious note anyway? For those of you who are saying there's more to life than club trips, you're right. But, these club trips do enhance the clubs and benefit 114...CIubS the members. It you were a club member wouldn't you en- joy loading up on a bus and getting away from the daily routine for a few days? I know I would. Some clubs tripped this year to Austin and even to Corpus Christi. The only thing the students had to do was have fun and learn something along the way. Now what they learned is still a mystery to mankind. But surely there was something learned by someone. House Bill 72 may have done away with some of the fun involved in being a club member. But, the clubs sill have the club trips to look for- ward to. Cleaning her sheep for the big stock show is this FFA member. The Honeybees are raising their funds by washing cars. Shirley lvlarkowski soaps the hood and wind- shield. The group spent many hours at car washes. Mone ave you ever felt like you wanted to eat 72 glazed donuts? l know I have. Haven't you ever wanted to spend hundreds of dollars on baked goods? That urge hits me sometimes. I'm sure there has been a time when you wanted to eat snow cones until your lips froze. I often do. Because people have these cravings for miscellaneous perishable goods, the masterminds behind the clubs hold fun- draisers selling anything from cup cakes to breakfast tacos. Actually the reasoning behind the fundraisers was not to satisfy the hunger of the student body, but more likely to make money for the clubs. However, you didn't hear that from me. Food sales weren't the only way the clubs made money. The clubs held car washes to make money for the cause. So when your car col- lected enough dirt to classify as filthy, or when your stomach was growling vicious- ly keep the club fund raisers in mind. l'll bet you're wondering what these clubs are going to do with all your hard earned cash, aren't your? Well, they're going to save the money to pay expenses that clubs have, or they might help students attencl a workshop. So rest assured your money is appreciated and well spent. Selling buenelos is an original change. These hungry students got a surprise when their growling stomachs were answered by these sugary treats. 116. . .Clubs this
