With the fading of summer into fall we witness the abandoning of summer activities to once again en- ter the challenging doors of learning, The be- wildered and somewhat frightened freshmen, the eager sophomores, the confident juniors, and the proud but somewhat sad faces of the seniors flood the mighty halls of ivy to uphold and respect the loyalty of our alma mater, East Central High, The faces of ECHS are many and varied, but they reflect you, the student body. He faces a lifetime of dull, low paying jobs - or no jobs at all, You can very easily restrict your view to selfish interests, immediate pleasure and profit. But such people never have a place in the halls of fame or become examples to follow, Don’t confine your efforts to the minimum, Don’t let your interests stop with your own class or group. Don’t be content to stay where others stay just because it is popular, Don’t cramp your mind just because others do. GO BEYOND THE AVERAGE Think how marvelous it would be,
