zsfame Eyes are often on those who strive for high goals, but only a few make it to the highest step - Cardinal royalty. These are students to watch. They have what it takes to step to the top. Mr. and Miss East Central are chosen by the student body. Seniors chose Sr. Who's Who. Juniors chose Jr. Who's Who. Cardinals- orithe-Month must meet certain requir- ements to be placed on the voting ballots. They must show leadership, malce good grades, and have exemplary discipline. They are voted on by juniors and seniors but only seniors are eligible. The Instrumental Music Sweetheart is selected by all instrumental students, Hall of Fame members are chosen by faculty and stafff These all are deHnitely outstanding students with the ambition in mind to step higher. Watch out for these people who have been acknow- ledged by the students and the faculty. Elite'

Jofiame Miss East Central XVIII Teresa Ashmore Being Miss East Central is like a dream to be cherished the rest of my life. The best part has been the opportunities it has given me to meet some of the greatest people in the world: the people right here at EC. When I say thank you it comes from deep in my heart and is meant with all my love. Teresa is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ashmore. She was crowned in an assembly on September 30, 1983. She was an attendant her junior year and is presently involved in National Honor Society and the Greek club. She was also chosen as the East Central delegate to Girls' State.
