As East Central Junior College enters its fortieth year, the 1969 Wo- He-Lo has made an attempt to preserve this and every well deserved event-academic, social and religious. We, as members of the Wo-He- Lo staff, students, faculty and administration at E.C.J.C. have every reason to be proud of our college. Academically she is a top rated insti- tution. The students of E.C.J.C. are blessed with adequate facilities- modern classrooms and laboratories and an adequate volume library -each of which is increasing yearly. Socially, E.C.J.C. can boast of her many fine clubs and organizations, along with all other interesting social aspects of the well-rounded social life of our campus. Religiously, she is staffed and prepared to give ade- quate and necessary guidance to all faiths. However, the blessings of E.C.J.C. students never stands still for there is always an air of expansion present to take care of the growing student body. An addition to the existing science building has been realized, a vocational and technical complex and a technological agri- culture building are nearing completion with construction already begun on a fine arts building. In 1968-69 we celebrate forty years of achievement and growth in property and prestige. We pay tribute to the far-sighted founders of this institution who had the vision to see what a community college such as this could mean to you. We honor those East Central graduates who, through the years, in the state and nation, have, by their achieve- ments, build up extended esteem her Alma Mater that the Wo-He-Lo of 1969 delights to extol.

.QQ 30 STRONG Dates may be tedious, dry-as-dust figures, monotonous to learn and remember. Or dates may represent exciting peaks of history and experi- ence that stimulate over and over memories of thrilling moments that man and nations love to recall and to celebrate. The date of 1928 was only the prelude of many such memories in the minds of numerous individuals in the East Central area of the state of Mississippi. In that year East Central Junior College opened doors to experiences that would become golden opportunities to every high school graduate in the five counties of Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Scott and Winston. Our MEast Central has progressed through four decades. Each stu- dent who comprises part of this total record enrollment must charge himself to continueto lift the standards and prestige of this institution which has contributed much to its district and is adding an increasing iniluence on the state. .
