G- £3kf oo v rt ' o ° .£ y QSfc It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew and waxed a great tree St. Luke 13:19 car These thirty-nine years have reflected tremendous progress in all phases of campus life here at East Central Junior College. In 1927, the regular session of the Mississippi Legislature enacted a law authorizing the estab- lishment of public junior colleges to prepare a better educated youth. We now see the name of E. C.J. C being brought to state-wide attention through its educational progress, its expansion of physical plant, its inter- collegiate sports activities and its questing student body. The combination of expended energy and effort toward advancement creates the goal by which we the staff of the 1967 Wo-He-Lo wish to portray the spirit of East Central. The 1967 Wo-He-Lo has attempted to preserve the traditions of East Central Junior College in every phase of life here. We, as students, faculty and staff, have every reason to be proud of our college. To us she is the BEST. We are proud to say This is our college, East Central Junior College. Wright President Through the years, institutions of higher learning have been challenged to meet the needs of their students, their states, and their nation. East Central Junior College has answered that challenge by continuing to grow through expanded offerings and increased enrollment. From its beginning, many students have received their training at this institution and are today taking their places in the complex society of this century. In the years to come, when you look back at your 1966-67 WO-HE-LO, it is our hope that its theme, Many Were The Times , will open the door to many pleasant memories for you. It is our further hope that East Central Junior College will not only represent for you the institution at which you received your formal training but that it will remain a symbol of those elements which helped you to obtain maturity and success.
