Students will always re- member Pop patrolling the campus at night, sharply on the lookout for a couple lingering behind a bush or a girl whispering from her dorm window to her Romeo below. From 1914 until his retirement last year Pop Williams (with his warm greeting) was a friend of all the stu- dents — a fine symbol of our traditions of service and friendliness.

ft. Books, swimming classes, lab sections . . . These are the activities that crowd our days. These are the materials that shape our lives here at East Carolina. Though we are busy, we still find time for the rec- reation which we need. For our materials for development also in- cluded dances, parties, dates, weekends. All these are part of our memories of four years at E. C. C.
