We remember it as if it were yesterday. That day in September 1957, when we, the class of 1961, entered the doors of East Bridge- water High School and thus began four years of high school and a lifetime of priceless memories. As the freshman year opened, class officers were elected, a con- stitution was set up, the class motto was written, and the class colors were chosen by various committees in the class. To the rest of the school, these events were of little importance but this was our first taste of high school life. The class pin, a blue and White octagon With the East Bridgewater High School 1 emblem and the year '61 engraved on the face of the pin, was purchased by many of the members of our class. In the spring of ,59, we spent a most memorable day visiting historic Boston. It Was the first time that the class had done any- thing together, and it was a day we will never forget I- Will we? The sophomore year was highlighted with the Sophomore Hop. The autumnal atmosphere and decorations encouraged the theme of NTWilight Time. The Junior year was a happy and memorable one for all. Mr. ,loseph Morey, our class advisor, helped us through many situations, most of which were concerned with the planning of our junior prom. On the evening of April 29, 1960, the class of ,61 sponsored its first formal, '4Castle in the Clouds. The scene was set in an atmosphere of royalty, accentuated by a lovely background of roses, moonlight, and soft music. After the Grand March, led by the class officers, the royal atmosphere became authentic when Miss Doris Barnard. a member of the class of '61, was selected queen of our
