Closs Officers LEROY HOFFMAN, President 66444 QI945 'lihis is a subject We always hate to bring up--especially when most of our predecessors have felt the same as we do now. lt seems like only yesterday that we entered this institution of higher learning. We remem- ber how expectant, excited and nervous We were as Freshmen. Gur initiation by upper classmen had Worried us considerably, and wha! an initiation that was l I ll In our Sophomore year, our teachers soon found us a happy and industrious group of pupils. The big event of this year, naturally, was our Freshmen-Sophomore Party-which turned out to be a great success. Our class oiiicers this year were: President, Joseph Torres, Vice-Presi- dent, Louise di Pramperog Secretary-Treasurer, Olga Battistoli. lt was fun coming back in our Junior year, strutting up and down the halls with the nonchalance of upperclassmen. One great event stood out as our social goal of that year-the Junior-Senior Prom. Under the direction of our class sponsors, Miss Perrone, Mr. Marconi, and Mr. Virgin, our play, 'APeck's Bad Boy, was a great success. Clt was also CARL HANSON, Vice President KATHLEEN KURTZ, Secretary OLGA BATTISTOLI, Treasurer

CLASS OF 1945 lContinuedJ the most important means by which we raised the funds to finance our Promg-with Lee Barrett's Orchestra, and the slick dancing of East Beth's Junior classmen, I ask you, How could it be anything but a suc- cessimj Our officers that year were: President, Joseph Torres: Vice- President, Carl Hanson, Secretary, Louise di Prampero, and Treasurer, Thomas Komlo. Before we go on with anything else, we feel it's only proper that we mention our Junior and Senior athletic stars, who Were: Carl Hanson, Leroy Hoffman, Henry Abbadini, and Howard Placchi. VVe, as well as the faculty and fellow students of East Beth, point with pride to these gridiron stars. One of the saddest events of this year was the death of one of our dear classmates, Rosalie de Vincent. In our Senior year, we felt quite old and mature, but most of us were still somewhat dazed to think that we were really and truly Seniors. This would be our last year here, rather hard to believe. We were guid- ed this year by: President, Leroy Hoffmang Vice-President, Carl Hanson, Secretary, Kathleen Kurtz, and Treasurer, Olga Battistoli. ln spite of the fact that we were forced to postpone our Senior play, Mumbo-Jum- bo, it proved a terrific success. Of course, due credit should be given Mrs. Alice Strosnider, our sponsor and Miss Horner, who was in charge of the 'between acts,' and also Mr. Virgin, who, along with a few of the Senior boys, put up the scenery. , In one of our class meetings, after much debate, we finally chosc OLlI'Z CLASS COLORS e.e.,. But it's time to think of the future now. As Seniors we leave for- Destination, Unknown. Only time will tell what we shall do, what we shall have, and what we shall be. On commencement night we shall leave the halls of East Bethlehem High School. VVe are not leaving it for days, weeks, or months but for- ever. Now, as much as we regret it, it's time for us to say: So long, fellow students, we sincerely hope that your remaining years are as joyful and pleasant as ours have been. But before we leave, we can truthfully say, it was swell knowing, working, and playing with you and the teachers of our Alma Mater.
