I I I A well prepared mind hopes in adversity and fears in prosperi- ty. -HoRAc15. ln all matters, before beginning, a diligent preparation should be made. The schools of the Nation have been set up to give you this preparation for real life. Habits, drills, techniques, definite objectives, and discipline should pay their ultimate reward in carry-A ing undertakings through to a distant goal. Your training has been intelligently directed and not left to chance or luck. You can allot to yourselves enough tasks to fill a creditable day and you are able to keep at those tasks automatically, to a reasonable degree, without strain and with no strong emotion except a feeling of personal satisfaction. Political leaders, labor unions, industrial magnates are deeply concerned with post-war employment. You should be just as ingr- ested in your duty to work, your inalienable right to work in your post-war security. Fortunately, you should bear no permanent scars of aimless idlenessg but, remember that many can't play a violin even though there has always been a fiddle in their room. E. CULLEN, Principal. TOMORROW WE LEAD.
