And who could help but feel that way, when looking out through any window, we could see towering buildings that would grace the cover of any magazine. Inside the building, too, we kept discovering new sights a light, airy cafeteria. soft silhouettes through the library glass, and brightly-polished, full-length mirrors. It entered our classes in our dis' cussions and ecstatic themes. It Hooded our conversations with exclamations about the rainbow-colored foods room . . . the fishbowl bookstore. . . the little theatre. It spurred our initiative so that we in- vented ingenious routes that would take us past talked-about sights, yet leave us that last split-second to dash into class. After school, we didn't rush out the doors in a mad stampede as we had done in the old school 5 instead, we curiously explored the speech stages, got lost in the dark room maze, and crawled under loose wir- ing to get a dusty look at the incompleted and much-anticipated swimming pool.
