Only one activity ticket was issued each semester and a fee of fifty cents was charged to obtain a duplicate. The student insurance plan worked the same way, with payments made directly to the school bank. Committees studied a plan for unit hook rental, hut as yet this plan has not been put into actual practice. A new honor roll was considered. Any stu- dent taking four major subjects and receiving A's in all four subjects would he placed on the high honor roll. Students having a li or liek average would he placed on the honor roll. Names of these students would be published in the city and school papers. This and several other plans may he put into etlect next fall. As the year progressed the faculty provided new and hctter ideas for furthering education. Change Homeroom Period, Add Classes, More Majors Faculty committees planned several changes which were put into elliect this year. the chief change being the elimination of the homeroom period. A ten-minute homeroom period was held in the morning for the purpose of talcing attendance and reading daily hulletins. This Provided eight periods a day and gave students an opportunity to take extra courses. Incoming freshmen were required to take live majors. Two new freshmen courses were intro- ducede-orientation and community civics. Ori- entation adjusted freshmen to high school life and acquainted them with rules and traditions of liast High. while community civics ac' quainted them with forms of city government. Another change was the requirement that all students have a notebook. The activity ticket plan was studied hy the faculty council and a new systefn was put into Lloyd R. Mr. Maurice Day fulfilled a lifelong dream when he hecame the owner of a trailer and is now residing in Florida.
