Thirdly, they proposed a new senior high school. to he located east of the athletic lield. The size of the bond issue, 3Ssi.2i0,000. was arrived at after several months of con- ferences with the high school faculty and the architectural tirm. The election on the bond issue was held january Sl. 1955. Vifhen the results were compiled the hond issue carried with a ma- jority of 7 to l. The hoard plans to have a new high school and all grade school huildings in tirst class condition by 1957. Wforliing with the hoard, Dr. Gates supervised activities of the ten grade schools and junior and senior high schools.
