lxllll l l if 2 :ii 4.-1.-1. fy To the class of '55: flood luck and best wishes for a performance well donel Since you are using the works of VVilliam Shake- speare as a theme, it is well to keep in mind that he too was once young like you. lle too had to face his future with nothing but what he learned, observed, or ex- perienced. Surely there were many times when he won- dered: X'Vill this play he successful? Nevertheless, we know he simply worked with the materials he found at hand, adopted them, and embued them with his own personal touch. So you and l need to be faithful, and we will have joy for the present and perhaps even achieve for the future. Mr. Alfred ll. Richert Vlllll' time has eome when a chapter in your lives must close. Your high school days are over, hut it is with a sense ol' completeness that you leave. This being my first class in lfast .-Xurora, l have a deep sense of closeness to all who are graduating, so may l, as probably lVilliam Hliakespeare would have said to his first, May you all have the good fortunes that life can bestow upon you. hir. I hope in years to come, as you occasionally pull out your old yearbook and recall old memories, that they are all pleasant ones. We, on the staff, also pull out the old yearbook occasionally. It gives us a great deal of pleasure, fifteen or twenty years later, to look at your yearbook and feel satisfied that you have reached the peak of perfection you promised while you were with us. Best of luck for the adventure ahead. hir. H. Lewis hlclxleil The value of your education already has been proved to you many times. The real value of it, however, is recognized in the mature, responsible people you have become and will be in the futureg it will be recognized in the skill with which you will accept responsibilities, make decisions, and in the quality of service you will render. It is interesting to speculate how well you will perform in the major roles, the supporting roles, and in the hit parts that will be yours to plav. Inasmuch as your per- formance as the class of 1955 has been commendable, it is almost certain that you will not digress from so high a standard of performance in the future. Mrs. Mary V. .an-M.. '1 'z' Con gratulationsl You have finished a task and a phase of your life. You all are eager for the next venture as you should be. A fine group of young Americans, we are proud of you as East Aurora students and sure you will be equally upstanding Alumni. lt seems to me that your choice of a theme for this, your Yearbook, implies that you seek to know and understand yourselves. For surely the exploring of those qualities that are mankind and therefore universal is the reason for the timeless appeal of Shakespeare. Continue to seek and explore and achieve those things, and all we wish for you in happiness and success will come your way, for you will have earned them. May the good Lord bless you and keep you. Mr. Walter Bumgardner There are 110 tricks in plain and simple faith. Julius Caesar dnnwcdftz FW .4.-is6issw19t5' Qksifiiv Your High School days have been full of new and exciting experiences.
