Alpho Omega Psi From the birth of this newly returning service club S came a spirit drive demonstrated by coeds of East if High. Alpha Omega Psi was sponsored by Mr. Baxter l and Mr. Schroyer in a ioint effort with its mem bers to promote intra-school spirit as well as volunteer services in doing odd jobs. Some of the jobs included the removal of snow from sidewalks, cleaning up the parking lots and school grounds, raising and lower' ing the American Flag, and assisting at school dances and other school activities. Functions for the year included a Psychedelic Booth, participation in straightening after the T-Bird Dinner, a Fairbanks trip to the basketball tournament for the purpose of supporting the team, several light shows for the dances, and the Student Talent Show. Mr. Schroyer, sponsor, reads over the club minutes with Lynne Fontana, secretary. Reid McSweeny, president, sketches the symbolistic letters of the club. Cato, and Peggy Comiskey: SECOND ROW: Vicki Breukelman, Marii Erickson, Debbie Steger, Jennifer Brewington, Mary Woodard, Janet Kiehn, Persi Regal, Arlene Smith, Barb Dickinson, and Lynn Fontana, THIRD ROW: Tracy Turnwall, Felecia Jennings, Connie Reed, Valerie Worthley, Sharon DeBoer, Janet Blake. Jackie Webb, Patti Secora, Patty lverson, Sara Johnson, Mary Stephens, and Sharon DuBroc, and BACK ROW: Myra Schoming, Jaymi Chron, Sandi Simon, Madeline Yingling, Kathy Kintz, Wendy Dill, Whitney Jones, Barb Underwood, Debbie Craig, and Nancy Aldridge. Madchen Madchen, an all girls'service club which was organized last year, has proved an asset in promoting good will and service within East High and the surrounding communities. Under the supervision of Mrs. Cato and Mrs. Beier, the club rushed into the spirit of things, when a Halloween party was held in October at Ridgeview Rest Home for the elderly and handi- capped. Other such visits were made on holidays, and Q 5 monthly projects were then scheduled at hospitals and rest homes. Activities for the year included ushering for the Thunderbird Dinner, intermediate book drive, a senior tour of AMU, a gaily planned initiation, and a proposal of serving refreshments at the military lounge in the airport for servicemen on their way to and from Vietnam. A Club The Athletic Club is made up of boys who have earned a letter by participating in a varsity sport. The projects they sponsored ranged from the car show for the Thunderbird Dinner to cleaning the gym floor I I I I during the basketball games.
