Key Club The East High Key Club is a chapter of the boys' service organization sponsored by Kiwanis Interna- tional. Dedicated to service to the school and the community, many Key Club activities consisted of projects performed as the need arose throughout the year. One of these activities included parking cars at Key Clubbers Bob Hafner, Toby Todd, Kerry Kennedy, Kelly Loran, Bob Ortalda, Mr. Baxter, Larry Smith, and Spencer Sneed discuss procedure for parking cars at the Governor's Ball. the Governor's Ball. Among the social activities of the group was the annual Keyheart Dance, which included the selection of a queen from the girls at East. Under the direction of Mr. Baxter, Key Club's pro- iects were organized by the group's officers. They in' clude Kelly Loran, president, Dean Ryland, vice- president, Craig Ronning,treasurer5 and Bob Conklin, secretary. Larry Smith, a senior, served as Lt. Gov- ernor for the Anchorage Division of the Pacific North- west District of Key Club International. Craig Ronnmg, treasurer, puts Key Club finances in order early in the year. rv.. f 4 XX A

5' , Epsilons Epsilons fulfilled their purpose as a service club through many activities. During Homecoming, they sponsored the Car Decorating Contest. In October new members were formally installed during an afternoon tea. Besides being responsible for the gaily-flowered cafe- teria, Epsilons provided their support during the Thunderbird Dinner by helping in the kitchen. During Christmas they sponsored a Post Office, through which Epsilons delivered personal greetings of the student body throughout the school. They also cheered the sick and aged by caroling at local hospitals and nursing homes. A spring fashion show and Epsilon Banquet concluded the roster of activities. Janet Rehrer, treasurer: Carol Ivy, vice-president: and Frankie Berry, secretary, assist Chris Drake, president, in brightening the cafeteria with colorful flowers.
