An active group of representatives take notes to present in their class and club reports. Student Counci Plunging into a full-scheduled year for East High was the student council, composed of over a hundred members. One of the student council's more outstanding projects of the year was the revision of the constitution. Weeks were spent discussing and amending certain points. Making the executive decisions of the student council were Barbara Brundage, president, Kerry Kennedy, vice-president, Vicki Catching, treasurer, and Vicki Ross, secretary. Mr. Carl Eberlein was sponsor. The student council headed such enterprises as the Faculty Tea, a school Birthday Party, the Thunderbird Dinner, the Alumni Tea, and Pop Culture Week. The student council was also responsible for the sport dances, the annual canned food drive, a magazine drive for Patriotism Week, and many of the activities held during the spring. Vicki Catching, treasurer, submits her report to the council while Barb Brundage, president, Kerry Kennedy, vice-president, and Vicki Ross, secretary, listen intently.

Senior Government The Class of 1969 began the year by sponsoring the Homecoming float, followed by the selling of student directories and a court decorating contest at Christmas. The Senior Class also sponsored the annual Senior Class Play, I Remember Mama, on January 31-February 1 and the Senior Ball on April 18. Class colors, flower, and motto were chosen in the spring of 1968 for the forthcoming senior year. Baby blue and royal blue were selected as colors and a red rose was chosen as the flower. The motto for the 1968-69 Senior Class was, Today we follow, tomorrow we lead. Becky Thomas, Senior Class president, pauses in front of the senior bulletin board. The officers for the 1968469 Senior Class are Delia Otter, treasurer, Vicky Phillips, secretary, Becky Thomas, president, and Lorene Grover, vice- president. The Senior Class advisory board members are SEATED: Anne Sweet, Linda Hume, Linda Harper, Nlr. Robert Clutter, sponsor, Roy Middleton, and lVlr. Dale Magstadt, sponsor, and STANDING: Dennis Goff, Jerry NlcLane, and Cheryl Jefferson.
