Choir Bringing in a better appreciation of one of the finer arts, East High's choral department offered such varied classes as Girls' Glee, Sophomore Chorus, Barber Shop Chorus, and Concert Choir. As a regular responsibility, Concert Choir performed at various school and local functions including Thunderbird Dinner, Baccalaureate, and the Music Festival. The Christmas Concert and Spring Concert were also presented by the group. For those who preferred extracurricular activities, the select vocal group Camarata, consisting of sixteen singers, gave recitals for Women's Club Iuncheons, Fine Arts Week, and Thunderbird Dinner. The Music Festival climaxed the year's activities. Camarata, Concert Choir, and other participants joined students from the entire south central region to form a mass choir.
