The Junior Varsity Basketball team under the direction of Mr. Fisher had an excellent season. Captains Sondi Brown and Sue McDermott led their team to a section record of eleven wins and one loss and an overall record of fifteen wins and six losses. The scoring averaged 48 points a game but for next year they strive to have that average again and an undefeated season. The Improved player was Nicole O'kelly and The Most Valuable player was Sondi Brown. The J. V. team looks to be a promising Varsity team. EA OPP. Drakulic, Terry Doughty, Doug Stewart, Michael Janosko, Steve Carr, Gene Michalak, Row 2: Renee Moore, Jeff Brncic, Shane Vorce, Mo Abdullah, Jody DePaul, Craig Stewart, Ralph Powell, Cherisse Benjamin, Row 3: Coach Matsko, Jim Palmeri, Mike McAdams. Rick Sabol, Dan Labuda, Brad Sigut, Bob Garvin, Marcus Grando, Manager Tom Hall, Coach Engle. The i986 Varsity Baseball Team had a good season. Headed by Coach Matsko and Asst. Coach Engle, the boys worked long, hard hours to prepare for the spring season. Senior Captains Mike Janosko, Doug Stewart, and Steve Carr, guided the team and kept up enthusiasm. Junior outfielder P.J. Drakulic and sophomore designated hitter Brad Sigut, made the All-Section team. The team needed to beat Derry in order to clinch a playoff spot. The over- all record was 8-I2 with 6-9 in Section IO, placing the team fourth in the conference. They received much spectator support and everyone looks forward to a great future team.
