The Lady Wildcats were one of the hardest working teams in the history of EA. Girls Basketball. During pre-season competition, the Wildcats posted impressive offensive and defensive statistics in wins over Monesson, Peabody, South Hills, and Derry Area in the Holiday Tournament. However, many intangibles are needed for a winning season, and when the Section 1OAA wars came, the team went into a bit of a tailspin. Four losses were decided by a few points. Tanya Clanagan, averaging 14 points per game, was a fine offensive weapon. Her offensive output was counted on throughout the season. Lisa Dawn was the most improved player. As the season progressed, she became an effective offensive weapon as she gained confidence. Nancy Liput's consistent strength added a steadying influence to her club. Her 9 points per game, power moves on the basket, and superb rebounding were indications of her being a very good player. Connie Howard was a hard working player that did a fine rebounding job. Her aggressiveness was important. Jennifer Shaw was a total team player. Sacrificing her offensive output to others, she led the team in assists. Averaging 7 points a game, she was the quickest ballhandler on the team. Jennifer also led the team in the defensive steals. 60 Mr. T, 3313 the game plan. Jenny blocks the opposition.

The J.V. Basketball team had a disappointing one and sixteen record under Coach George Stark. The lone victory was against West Mifflin South.
