I f TEAMWORK AND SCHOOL SPIRIT MAKE EHS 1 This year the Raider Soccer team, led by captains Giles Nielson, Brad Goodbred, and Bill Lonie finished their season with 14 wins, 6 losses, and one tie. The Raiders, who were not expected to do that well went on to beat their Waterman rivals, making them undefeated in the Little 10 Conference. Coach Roger Essman stated that their number one factor in winning was working together. Another key factor in the Raider wins was the great support from the fans. Members of the team who received special recognition were Mike Hanson, Bill Lonie, Giles Nielsen, John O’Dell, Brad Goodbred, and Chris Stockley for All-Conference and Bill Lonie and John O’Dell also received honorable mentions for All-Sectional. 1985 RED RAIDER SOCCER TEAM First Row, L to R: Bob Philip.
