They are having a reunion which is being held on a luxury cruise liner. This trip is partially paid for from the remainings left in the senior class treasury. All 1983 graduates made it aboard. Everyone was settling into his room and preparing to get ready for the big evening. That night they were having a dinner dance. After the dinner, Doug Corrigan was to give a report on what everyone has been doing for the past 25 years. And, here is Doug to update on the happenings on the Class of 83. Welcome to the 25th reunion of the class of 1983. Before I begin to read what our classmates have been up to, I would like to tell you a little about myself. I’m sure most of you have seen me on television commercials. I have taken over Bill Cosby’s roll for all jell-o commercials. Everyone in Hollywood calls me by my nickname — “Mr. Jell-o.” Since I live in Hollywood, I see many actors and actresses. But one day, as I was at the Paramount Studios, a young man approached me and said, “is that really you Mr. Jell-o, you probably don’t remember me, but I graduated from the same class as you did.” Then I said, “well, if it isn’t Tim Fultz.” We went to lunch and had a long chat. He told me he was an actor. He is the “new” Squiggy on Laverne Shirley. Tim told me he has seen two other of our class members. One of them included Cheryl O’Dell. Cheryl is an actress and presently is living in Hollywood. It seems that on the night of the presentation of “Hillbilly Weddin’ ”, there was a talent scout in the audience. Since Cheryl gave such a fabulous performance, the scout knew he could make a star out of her. So, he took her to Hollywood and she is now starring in a few movies. Also, Tim ran into Kerry Miller one day. Kerry was going to the studio where they film “The Muppet Show”, which is where he is employed. He is working there so he can be close to his favorite Muppet character. After we finished lunch, Tim left because he had to get back to his studio. Speaking of famous people, Mark Breck is pretty well-known. As I was reading The Guiness Book of World Records one evening, I came across Mr. Breck’s name. He had just broken the record for the world’s fastest talker. A few of our classmates have gone into the sportsworld. For example, Kathy,’ “The Roadkill”, Kirby is one of the country’s top women fighters. She just recently won the wrestling nationals last week over Bomber Beale. The referee for the match was one of her old classmates Steve Campbell, who ironically caused the rivalry between these two women. In addition, Paul Ostrem is now a professional basketball player. It seems that Paul has grown five more inches and no longer needs the right ali-oop. Two others are involved in basketball. Roger Torman also known as “Coach Rog”, has a win- ning team. One of his star players is, surprisingly, Philip Vickery. Roger finally talked Philip into liking the sport. Now, Philip eats, drinks and sleeps basketball. Another athlete from the class of ’83 is Kris Leonard. He is planning to run in this year’s World Olympics, in the 100 meter spring. However, he has one problem; the last time he was running a race, he quit near the end. He said the reasoning behind this was because quote, “there was a ranken stench in the air” unquote. The present Indy 500 champion is our old school chum Darrell Stanford. He designs and races his own cars. Darrell only employs Fix-It Finnell as his pit crew since Paul can do it all. Some of our class members made it big in the business world. Apparently, Marti Cronin is married now and making millions. Her and her husband, Tommy Eich, have opened up thousands of Pink Dip chains all over the world. Mr. and Mrs. Eich are presently living in a huge mansion right outside of Paw Paw. The Kelly Brothers have made it big in their field of work also. A few years after high school, they opened up their own little business called “The Overnight Delivery.” Like all overnight deliveries, they promise prompt delivery of all letters. The strangest thing of all is they do not use man-made devices such as trucks, jets, etc____They use the old nature devices. Yes, you guessed it folks, carrier pigeons. Another businessman from our class is Kipp Hardin. Kipp went to college to become a pharmacist and presently owns his own little drug store. Even another successful business started by a graduate of 1983 is Karla Hamer’s Kid-Kare Babysitting Service. And, at night she moonlights as a taxi-driver. She can easily be spotted since she drives a maroon LTD. Also, Tahna Doty and Melodye Brewer are business women in Earlville. Since they have had so much past experience in the restaurant business, they opened up one of their own. They renovated the Earlville Leader Office and called it The Printer’s Inn. Denny Trump still resides in his hometown. Many people have reported on see- ing him on the high school stage. Apparently, he is still trying to figure out how to work the lights on the stage. Evidently, Mary Fiste is working part-time at Jer-Bar’s. She is still making up her mind about which college to go to. Well, such is life! Two members of the the class of ’83 became teachers. One of them is Karen Sayne. She figured being a teacher would make up for all the days she missed dur- ing high school. Also, Dale Wilson received a masters’ degree in Math. Professor Wilson is currently reaching calculus and trigonometry at Harvard University. Shelley England is a world reknown homemaker and is the author of several books on care of the home. Her press secretary is none other than her sister Shirley. All that hard work in Model Office and Accounting paid off, right Shirley? David Johnson is one of our few classmates that followed in his brother’s footsteps. He married Jean Pakula, joined the Army, and is living in California. One member of our class who has not been seen or heard of for quite some time is Willie Perkins. It seems that he has been in seclusion, trying to find a cure for the dreaded chicken pox. And, giving experienced medical assistance is his high school comrade, Mechelle Harden, who is a registered nurse. Living in Utica is Ranger Rusty Pratt. He is in charge of fertilizing the trees at Matthison State Park. Ranger Russ has won many awards for growing such beautiful trees. However, he still refuses to give anyone his secret fertilizer formula. After doing their love scene in “Hillbilly Weddin’ ”, Sonya Kaleel and Russ Pratt soon learned that they had quite a lot in common. So now Sonya is Mrs. Sonya Pratt, and is helping Rusty in his fertilizer business. As you all know, we hit some rough waves earlier today and a small hole came about in the side of the ship. But thanks to our classmate Tom Todd, the problem was solved. Tom went over and plugged the hole. He will be there for the re- mainder of this cruise so you probably won’t see him around. Well, I have informed all of you on what our classmates have been doing since we graduated from good old Earlville High School. I hope the next 25 years are just as successful. 7 £e 70cMoj tie 3 We, the Senior Class of 1983, being of sound mind and body, hereby leave our last will and testa- ment as members of Earlville High School. 1, Mark Breck, will to Steve Weidner my tremendous luck with cars.
