File: Top Secret On August 25, 1979 our undercover detectives observed suspicious activities at Unit District No. 9. Why such happenings, when for three months these build- ings stood vacant and unoccupied? Our agents have filed their research and constructed this exclusive report in hopes of closing this case. The following evidence exposes: Raidorian File 1980 During our investigations we found that the suspects have participated in premeditated activities and events. Events which have changed the course of this files history. Organizations, meetings, clubs, friends, and or other foes were members of a complex unit observed daily. May 30th found our observations conclusive. The results witnessed in the following detailed accounts are true. The names have been submitted to protect the innocent. With his death came the realization that during his life he had become an important part of ours. However, through the sadness and the sense of loss, Brian’s memory will live within us forever. Asst, football coach 56 Basketball Football Football came to its end this year at E.H.S. Although our team was small in size they did a great job. The Raiders ended their season with a 4-5 record. They were coached by Kevin Lasley, Tom Guenther, roger Essmann. With not much experience the basketball team put all their effort j forth. The Varsity ended with a 4 18 record. TheJ.V. was coached by | Kevin Lasley and Varsity by Tom Guenther. Golf Volleyball j The girls at Earlville High showed good determination this year as the J. V. were j undefeated, with a record of 16-0 and j the Varsity ended with a record of 18-4. ] The Varsity also won the Conference tournament by beating a very strong team from Richmond. At the District tournament they won over Leland and Essmann. I Shabbona to take the title. They ad- 1 vanced to Sectionals and lost a good match to Marion Central. Both teams were coached by Roberta Mickelson and assistant coach Joyce Logan. The golf team had a new change of I pace this year with two girls on the team. The team competed in four j matches. The team was coached by Roger r Track Bowling The track team did well with only a small number of girls out. Barb Von Seggern was named Prom Sweet Heart for 1980. Other candidates included Beth Bagby, Pat Fultz, Karen Wilson and Wendy Bidstrup. 64 A Prom Breakfast was held at the Fire- men 5 Hall this year. With the help and donations from all the parents everyone got their fill. 65 The Fine Arts 66 The Ice Cream Social was topped off with a band concert and art fair given on the same night. Graduation: The End. The Beginning. Graduation seemed to never get here until the last week. Days that dragged turned into days that flew so fast that Graduation Night seemed more like a dream than re- ality.
