senators of the round table under the hamilton administration allocated 516,800 worth of activities fees to student organizations and activities and revised the honor code. the faculty's invitation asking students to ioin certain faculty committees which make college policies boosted senate's prestige. senate reports in hall meetings, special bull sessions in the commons, and an open forum in convocation kept students informed concerning senate activities. issues in the presidential campaign were the banning of sophomore cars, allocations to small campus organizations, student influence in academic matters, and the fate of sargasso. mel keiser won at the polls over competitors, dave gray and sam trueblood. 30
