THE eCLIDEN TEAK €IP SDIIKIT Spirit always existed at Eagle Rock. Fifty years ago there were only three male cheer- leaders. Drill Team did not exist. This year there were 15 cheerleaders and a Drill Team consisting of 76 girls. Spirit really increased in 76. Twirlers and Banner girls helped to encourage more spirit. The crowd got into the cheers and made it easi- er for the Varsity Cheerleaders to use their techniques learned at summer camp. The fans helped to fire-up the team spirit. Teamwork and enthusiasm is what spirit is all about.

Many changes, however, have occured in the past 50 years of academic pursuit at ERHS. Special programs were developed to aid the educationally handicapped. ROP classes were created to advance career oriented edu- cation in Business Office. Health, and Child Care occupations. Gifted stud HS have participated in academi-. .ed courses and afterschool programs. The Class of ' 77 had to acquire the largest number of credits in the 50 year hi-torv if ERHS- 165 in all.
