School years at Eagll' Rock Whlle We hers 35 B 7 S were yery unaware of a similar gathering of new students at a school some miles away, we were soon to meet and oerr lryes to become very much entwrned This other school of course, was Irvrng That first week as B 7 s was qurte an experience All the fears of berng hurnrlrated were quickly drspelled by a frre ndly welcome from Mr Kellv We found our only rmtratron as B 7 s was the label of scrub The seye nth and eighth grades went by with unbelreyable raprdrty In those two years the boys went out for Xeomen and Sports Wawokryas and C A A attracted many grrls rnd our first C' AA breakfast wrll always be remembered Both boys and girls of the class were ac trye rn Alpha Sigma, Cabinet and Se nate In the B 9 anet Arnett made a beseutrful Cotton Cluster Princess Our A 9 semester was upon us before we knew rt With the yery able help of Mr Hodnett we managed to organize our class Our first job was electing officers Gary Re ddrsh Pre srdent Terry Wonders and Robin Robinson Boys and Girls Vice president anrce Vrrgne, Secretary, and Alrce Bergstrom and Fred Potter were elected Crrls and Boys Treasurers At the time we organized our class, Fred Potter was elected Student Body President and Roger Carlson was elected Vice president We were all yery proud of both of them To finish off our three years rn unlor Hrgh we had r te rrrfic picnic On anuary 74 1951 we marched down the aisle The audrtorrum seemed to grow larger as the strains of Pomp and Chryalry enyeloped us 'lhe same thought went through everyone s mend Gee those three years went awfully fast Our graduation was ye ry rmpressrve and wonderful Val Arnott, Duane Toutjran, Fay Wrllrams and Lucette Gallob gaye speeches The entertainment presented by Dorathea Reedy and Lorraine Steinberg made us all very proud of our class As the B 10 semester began we became acquainted with the students from that other school Washing ton Irving had really sent some fine students to Eagle Rock The tradrtronal B 10 Reeeptron, Speech Contest and Talent Show came next oe Goldrn s ablllly as a speaker became eyrdent, and he was made MC at the Re cep tron Four students spoke Barbara Peet anrce Vrrgne Lucille Dr Cecco 'end Lorraine Steinberg wrnner of the Speech Contest The talent was outstanding and the whole program was a huge success In the B 10 Cotton Cluster Clara Ray was chosen attendant The A 10 and B 11 semesters seemed to whiz by At the B 11 Cotton Cluster Lucille Dr Cecco was chosen attendant Beyerly MCVICRCI a yery actrye student rn school aflarrs was elected president of Kabanoka rn the A 11 The boys began to excel rn sports Steye Stewart, rn Baseball Roger Carlson and Harold Crlbert in Cymnastrcs, Fred Potter and Ross Poole rn Basketball and oe Goldrn rn Football Many other boys went oert for Squires Ixabanoka and Garconettes and Vendeurettes proyrded good seryece clubs for the girls to Jorn lhe A 11 semester finally came We were ye ry anxious to form our class and wear our color At this time we hrd the capable assistance of Mrs MacDonald our sponsor and Mrs Moore Mrss Sandrfur and Mr Born rs co sponsors Don ,Iorgenson was elected Presrdent Dayrd Stone and Louise Lundre were elected Boys and Girls Xrce presidents INrncy Brrghouse became Secretary Sandra Harper and Torn Taylor were elected frrls and Boys Treasurers
