Mr. Roger Dennis was our class advisor. To make us real Eagle High School students they initiated us in the latter part of September. Marjorie Miller was chosen our Homecoming Queen Candidate. The next fall 65 Sophomores re-entered ERHS. Having left our greenness behind we were ready to initiate the incoming Freshmen. Miss Giles was our class advisor. A newcomer, Donna Nagel, was elected as our Homecoming Queen Candidate. Our Junior year, the best of all, was climaxed by the Junior Prom in May. we chose a ship deck for our theme and WNow Is The Hourn for the theme song. Barry Ewald and Angie Brooker reigned as King and Queen. Our class play, WFixit Incorporatedn, was a great success under the direction of Mrs. Seifert our class advisor. For Homecoming Queen candidate we chose Angie Brooker. At last we are Seniors, and have reached the goal for which we have been striving. The way has been rocky as well as eventful but S9 of us have walked to the end of this happy road together. Under the direction of Miss Austin, our class advisor, we were able to present the very successful class play, WDon't Take My Pennyn. Our candidate, Mary Lou Chart reigned as Queen of the Homecoming Dance. Co mencement on May 27 will close the doors on four years of fun, friendship, and success but it will not shut out the memories of happy times and friends we had at Eagle High. cf X514 Chef egg After a great deal of probing around and generally questioning the individuals that make up the senior class the following piece of literary genius was composed and with the least amount of fiction and a crystal ball nearby, here we go! The title of the worst basketball coach in history at Podunk U. goes without doubt to the former ERHS star, PARRY EEALD. The now balding young man Che tears out all his hairj is enjoying his position to the utmost. The top hard liquor joint in the country has for its propietor none other than LEON ZARURA, who is now making millions by adding S01 water to each bottle. The best bartender in this roadhouse is DICK LANTZ who can really mix 'em. Another addition to the tipsy duo is husky PERU LINDSTROM, the brawny bouncer. Every time we turn on the radio we get the caustic remarks of ROSS ELLIOTT and his dry anecdotes on sports. Only once a week does he attempt to broadcast a game and that is when he can brag about that great Chicago Plackhawk goalie, DOUGLAS ELLERHAN. BILL SPARKS is running his own gold mine in Alaska and at last report was making oodles of money. Seems he induced all the Eskimo women to work for nothing and it pays off plenty. LOUIS PAULMAN is his chief manager. ORLENE KRINGEL and VIRGINIA TURNCUIST are married and living in Canada. They live next to the Montreal Forum so as to be near their husband's work. MARKIE RODERICK is still in Florida but this time she is getting more than sunshine. what a remarkable place for a honeymoon and look at that blushing young bride and groom from Eagle River, MARCIA ZIMPELMANN and hubby. The top dude path in the Southwest is capably run by ED NUMRICH and his top rider is GENE STEIN who laughs the broncos into tameness and then rides on. ALLEN MEYERS runs the top garage in the north country and you can get anything from a grease job to a manicure at his plush establish ent. The top man in the ancient car business is SHEIDON BURNETT and right around you will find his trusty mechanic, CARL ANDERSON. They are up in the job and all of their gas comes from GORDON LONG'S filling station. They claim the gas is jet-propelled and this is mainly on the efforts of TERRY FRYKHOLM, the great chemist. The top artist for Esquire is MARY LOU CHART and her drawings really have the wolves howling for more. Another artist hm in the serious line is PHYLLIS DOOLITTLE who makes her living fend her husband'sJ by interior decorating. In Michigan the name for good fishing and hunting is EDDIE NAGEL who knows the trails and lakes by heart. Ed has returned from a lengthy trip to Africa and has plenty to talk about if the fish don't bite. The top woman general in the world is our own ARLENE CARLSON and she has worked her way up from private first class. The next in command is DELORES BARICH and the girls say they're mighty tough. The Chicago Hornets have finally won a game in the All-American Conference and the only reason this miracle happened is than they have DALLAS MAYO playing quarterback and also taking a part-time coaching job. Mayo scored ten touchdowns yesterday in the thrilling contest at J 1 ' 5 A 5 sans l - ffti ffh- s 'f'J ..'.. F M ll S Losl' LAKE RESORT HF 5. f rail Q Soldier's Field. Throughout all the music land we hear the applauds for CHARLOTTE KUNARD and the magic melodies of her zither. They even have Stowkowski listening and that's good. CIt says herel. The top name in the Western music field is the FIELDS girls, EDITH and LORRAINE. After several years Qf diligent practice they are now on top and play every night on the radio and are the top performers on the Saturday night Barn Dance. EVA KAUZLARIC is running a secretarial school and giving all her students her own experiences in the field and advancing the ideas which she has learned under KMC. The wayfaring stranger of the group has really traveled around the world and if you want to know about an place from Alaska to Hawaii just ask JACK PRIDE. H LEN BENNETT has built the long awaited hospital in Eagle River and she does all the nursing by herself. Next door to the hospital is the great steam laundry run by NELLIE GREEK and they wash the fastest and the bestest in town. The top recording artist in the world today is none other than our own ANGIE SIMAC and her golden voice has thrilled millions the world around. KEITH HEAL has worked his way up from paperboy to become the head manager of the Milwaukee Sentinel and he really puts out the copy for his readers. The newly graduated West Point cadet now commissioned private first class is our prize student CLAYTON PIEDLER who has realized his life ambition. The top man in the foot business is RICHARD PRIDE and he cuts corns and paints toenails for a lifetime trade. Can it be that he wears a clothespin around his nose? WARREN MERKEL has bought a new convertible and just rides around and enjoys life in the best manner possible. His rich uncle left him five million dollars and he lives in a wealthy penthouse. Whatta life! DUANE CLURE is the top admiral in the navy and has his own ship. What, did you say it was a sailboat? DONNA NAGEL is a commercial knitter but really she does most of her knitting for her own children. fShe and Jerry have fifteen at the present timej. The top housewife in the country is JANICE NOWLAND and her cooking is noted the world around. She specializes in hamburgers and french fries. Some of the best-selling novels in recent years have been turned out by MARIAN HEIN and she claims all the credit goes to the English teaching of Mrs. Hanke. The best in the dog business, training that is, is that old bulldog, DON SCHUSTER who has followed his life-long ambition and now turns out the smartest and best-looking canine creatures known. EMILY MANTEUPEL and MARILYN MURSETT have formed a man- trapning corporation and at last report they were selling them wholesale and making a profit for them- selves. The profit?, well confidentally it's a husband. ANGIE BROOKER is the beauty queen of the north woods and the only reason people come to the Plum Lake softball games in the summer is to view the life-like portrait the community has erected for her. MIRIAM LYONS has oought a fleet of cabs and with her husband's diligent help she transports all the people in Eagle River. The best wa to make money is to burn up all the cars owned in the district and this is precisely what she did. The best teacher in the district is RUPY MAYO and she has a large class of students. Is it true that they are all her own? The speed-boy BILL KRIECK is still in high school pla ing football and hockey for the good old alumnus. Last year the WIAA almost caught up with him tho' and he claims this year is his last. CLIFF LACROSSE runs a sportman's bar in St.Germain and they serve nothing but Coca-Cola and candy. But the bar comes from the back room where they also run a roulette wheel and dice games. The top resort in the north which caters especially to movie actresses is proudly run by RUSS JEFFERSON and he's been married six times but is now single and the most eligible bachelor in the country. The wacky scientist and inventor who lives in the outskirts of Eagle River is the former CHARLES WOLFER who is now known as the mad scientist and who experts claim now knows less about science than any man living in America. TED KOZALINSKI runs a tip-top dairy farm in Maine and he feeds the cows on beer and pretzels and the milk is out of this world. The top bars in New York City buy from him and the drink made from his product is known as white cow. MARION DEAN is the top telephone operator in Chicago and she gets more business than any other three operators combined. Can it be that most of her calls are young men asking for another date? Happily married to the boss, ex-secreatary DORIS FONFEREK is the happiest young woman in the world and her four daughters help to illustrate this also. Might we notice that NANCY HOECKER is the top actress on the legitimate stage today and she rates applauses from the critics when she places her foot on the stage. Hollywood has offered her a million dollar contract but she is too busy to sign a trifle piece of paper like that. DON MAYO has replaced Kert Eikerberger as the chief ski instructor at the Northernaire and he caters especially to the feminine types. BONNIE HUNTER is happily married and she and hubby Dorian get along justswdl fthey have four children--proof enoughij The top night club operator in Florida is DORENE WANTY who really puts on a snow for the cash customers. MERILYN CARTER has finally made Carnegie Hall with her flute, and hopes to be playing with Spike Jones' Band in the near future I shall now close this 1 1 message and den up for fear of what may happen when it is read. dheerio, my dear friends. glohoggs you're still Nfriendsn. x 'A - Vilas Truck I If LJ. 0 HSOHS QTIGTY .
