On February 8, l957, lhe band allended lhe San Anlonio Liveslock Show and Rodeo. Before allending lhe show, lhe band marched in lhe lwo and a hall mile parade lhrough downlown San Anlonio. On February 9, I957, lhe band parlicipaled in lhe Band Feslival al Del Rio, Texas, and won lhe Firsl Place Trophy in Concerl Music. Several members ol lhe band played in lhe All-Slar Band.
