T e 1930 MUSKETEER Rear Row Marvin Larsen John Hart Donald Holekvam Russ ll France Harold Allen Front Row Nathalie Wells Millicent Porter Catherine Torp Klarlve Smith Evelyn Blackman Doris Sharp Sfudenl' Fxecuhxe Council The Student Executive Council the nepres ntatlves and govermnv body of the Junior College is composed of nine members Four So ihomores are elected from the Sophomor Class and three Freshmen are elected from then class The editor of the Musketeer and the Cardinal are ex officio members The Council s first move was to compile and put up for ratification some xules and regulations for the governing of the Junior College The constitution they presented was iatified without much trouble and thus we recelved our first laws Soon after an act was pas ed in regard to the ccnduct of students in the study hall This act brought about a wonderful change tor a period of about two weeks Since then things have been drifting back to normal with an occasional intervention by Dean Opper man The Council members were supposed to s t the example for the rest of the Junior College and one can see the excellent result of this suggestion by observing carefully the things which take place in the corridor between classes. Every machine has its defects and also it cannot please everyones likes and dislikes. Thus it is with the Student Executive Council. They have tried to do what they thought the student body wanted. They were the sponsors of practically all Junior College activ- ities outside of athletics and backed these to the last. Even though they were not suc- cessful in all cases they certainly deserxe credit for their efforts. ml ..........
