ALL CONFERENCE = Heather Mosher HONORABLE MENTION = Shelly Hines The 1985 football campaign ended with a 7-2 record, both losses by a 1 point margin. This was the second consecutive year the Eagles reached the state play-offs, losing a 9-8 heartbreaker at Sierra Grande in the quarter- finals. I believe we all felt we had the potential to win it all, but without that feeling we would not have even made the play-offs. The boys can be proud of the 9-1 record for the 1985-86 basketball season. Very often we look back on a loss, such as the district championship, with bitter feelings but when you consider the expectations at the beginning of the year one has to feel good. The young men on the team this year gave the fans and coaches many satisfying and thrilling moments. Coach Crawford 27 WRESTLING “86” Front Row: Jeff Engelhardt, Rodney McDaniel, Mark Brown, Kelly Hebberd, Gary Weisdofer. Middle Row: Waylon King, Lance Wall, Stacy Uhland, Tod Bridgeman. Top Row: JoAnna Holmes, Coach Bob Woods. This year’s wrestling season will be one to remember as one of injuries and sickness. Very few tournaments or meets were wrestled where all participants were healthy at one time. Even though, as a team we didn’t do that badly. Individually, many of you had a good season to remember. The seniors are through and we wish each the best of luck and the underclassmen have something to build uPon- Coach Woods STATE QUALIFIERS 28 Back row Coach Crawford, Mark Reinert, Matt Krei, Keri DeWitt, Mike Hines, Mike Crawford, Erik Melgoza, Middle row Stacy Uhland, David Stowell, Terrill Frazee, Billy Woelk, Terry Arnold, Front row Melissa Krei, Angie Stephenson, Michelle Swopes, Landa Eikner, Mgr. The Eagles finished the regular season in a tie for the divisional title and finally lost to Wiley in the play-off. Consider- ing the fact that the majority of the baseball players also shared their time competing in track, I feel we had a good season. If you combine the baseball and track results it shows not only a great deal of talent, but a lot of dedication by our athletes. Coach Crawford Coach Crawf 30 New Signal? Strike? Back Row: Tod Bridgeman, Dana Forbes, Brian Dunlap, Shane Lessenden, Marvin Watts, Eric Zimmerman, Matt Kelley, Mike Hines, Darwin Nelson. The track team enjoyed success throughout the year. With only eleven girls out the deck was stacked against us at every meet. Undaunted by the numbers the team hung in there and played to win. Gary Monter State Qualifiers The 1986 track season will be one to be placed in our file of fond memories. Dedication and mental attitude are the keys to success and both were prevalent throughout the season. The seniors led the way and will be missed next year. Hopefully, the underclassmen will strive to take your place. Coaching this team has been great fun and very enjoyable and I wish each one of the seniors the best of everything always.
