Considering the fact that we had only four returning lettermen from last year's squad, this was a rebuilding year for our in- experienced team. Another important factor was the tough sched- ule our team had to play. Four teams out of eight scheduled were ranked in the top ten of the State. Those four teams ended the season in the following order: Limon (1979 State Champions), Calhan ( th in State), Stratton (8th in State) and Clayton, New Mexico (3rd in State).
