Di m THE EAGLE 1 9 6 8 Published by the Journalism Class of Eads High, Eads, Colorado That day and that year showed much promise. . . FOREWORD This yearbook has been prepared to enable us to look back upon our school years. Later we shall probably realize how much they meant to us. It is a book for tomorrow—the future; for today, the events are still too fresh in our memories. Daryle Lovett Editor - in Chief 2 DEDICATION It seems as though it were only a few short years ago when I used to look forward to a bedtime story and a chance to lick the cake bowl. But the years flew by and new things filled my desires. . .clothes, the use of the family car, dates, and MONEY. Yes, and you, Mom and Dad, were the ones who always shared these little things with me. You laughed when I laughed; cried when I cried. You knew and understood that all these things were just a part of my growing stage. And so, Mom and Dad, I offer this dedication to you to express my appreciation for all the loving memo- ries of your trust, confidence, wisdom, understanding, friendship, and love you have given me through these years. 3 TABLE OF CONTENTS INTRODUCTION 1 FOREWORD 2 DEDICATION 3 ADMINSTRATION 5 FACULTY 11 SENIORS 15 JUNIORS 25 SOPHOMORES 29 FRESHMEN 33 ELEMENTARY 37 ATHLETICS 45 ORGANIZATIONS 54 ACTIVITIES 63 4 ADMINISTRATION BOARD OF EDUCATION Left to Right: L. Our record was not the best in the state, but the Eagle spirit and enthusiasm was the best. The Eagle Football squad never gave up to any team. We lost four games, two of them by a total of three points, and we were tied in one game in the final minute. In these games every play was important, and our Eagles fought like champ- ions. I am truly proud of each young man who participated in football and all the students who generated the winning spirit and enthusiasm. Congratulations on a fine season.
